Officers -For the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year leading our UR chapter will be:

Membership Submissions - To receive an invitation to join as juniors or seniors, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed UR course work through the Global Studies program including courses in relevant subject areas of anthropology, economics, foreign languages, geography, history, political science, and other related disciplines.

  • Have attained a junior standing and completed at least 7 one-unit classes or 21 hours of course work toward the international relations major or minor, including at least two courses at the 300 or 400 levels.

  • Have attained a 3.3 cumulative grade point average or higher overall, and at least a 3.4  grade point average in international relations courses.

  •  Must maintain full-time student status of at least 12 hours to be a voting member of hold an office.

History - Sigma Iota Rho Society was formed to enhance the field of international studies among American universities in the 1980s. Its honor students pursue the qualities essential in their studies of international affairs.
